What is keeping you from seeing the glory of God in His fullness

The glory of God is not just a feeling or an emotion stirred up from a worship session. Neither is it only the grand miraculous things He does like dividing the red sea or causing the lame to walk.

In my opinion these are the two extremes of the glory of God that we as humans tend to behold. Of course! God’s glory is way beyond these.., but that is not where I am going today.

Many times we fail to see the in betweens, the Glory of God just before the storm calms or the light at the end of the tunnel. Because if we did, I doubt if the word worry or doubt would exist.

Describing the glory of God, shall we?

a. The glory of God is His divine watch and guidance over our lives as we go out and come back in. He goes before His children in the day as a pillar of cloud and at night as a pillar of fire just as He did for His children back in the day. Only if we looked closely, then would we see this Glory of God made manifest through His close watch over our lives.

By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night . Exodus 13:21

b. The glory of God is His divine provision for our lives. Maybe, just maybe sometimes we do not have the things we desire but God is faithful, giving us the things we need at a time.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus -Philippians 4:19

c. The glory of God is His spirit poured out into His children to embolden us,unite us, give us the ability to create, to give us the grace and strength to go about doing good.

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. I Corinthians 12:13

d. The glory of God is Him becoming flesh to come live amongst, and with His children. His glory is made manifest through Jesus christ! He came to help bear the burdens of this world, He came so we can freely communicate with God at anytime without the need of a priest. Isn’t God glorious!

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth– John 1:14

e. The glory of God is Him fighting our spiritual and even physical warfare, most times we do not even know or see these battles. As christians we constantly wrestle against principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. But God is mighty in battle, giving His children victory in battles.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Psalm 24:8

These are just the basics of the glory of God evident in every christian’s life. God is magnificent to reveal Himself in different dimensions peculiar to His children individually.

I am writing this to remind us of the glory of God being revealed in us, through us and even in our lives. There is also the greater glory that we patiently wait on to see here on earth and also in heaven

But let us not despise the glory of God God amongst us, within us, in us. Let us look closely and identify this peculiar beauty of God in our lives. Let us have our focus and gaze fixed on Him and His glory. The more we are fixated on Him, the less worried or doubtful we are.

How to stay fixated on Jesus Christ

a.Worship Him in truth and in Spirit- God is a spirit, He communicates with us through His spirit which is alive in our bodies. Therefore when we worship Him, we should ensure that it comes from our spirit and not just our lips or tongues

b. Every time we remember, we should bind and cast the spirit of worry, fear or doubt out of our minds. Cast them to the pit of Hell, we should do it way before they get the chance to crawl into our minds

c. Pray about everything! Our worries, fears, pray until we have the conviction in our mind that worry and doubt is gone. If it takes a day or two or even a month, let us keep praying about it.

d. We should have faith and exercise our faith. Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God? John 11:40

This is Jesus to Martha, who had lost her brother to death for about three days. Her brother Lazarus, did come back to the land of the living after three days.

Believe in Jesus and you would see His glory in all grandeur!
