Knowing the Mind of God and acting accordingly.

As Christians, we are called into a deep walk with Jesus Christ. We need to be in continuous tune with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I mean, How would we know the mind of God at all times?

It is through the help of the Holy Spirit that we can stay in sync with what God wants from us at certain points of our lives. Paramount it is for us to always allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, inform us, direct us.

O! How the Holy Spirit helps us to know the mind of God.

Our reference book from the bible for this post will be Joshua chapter 4.

As I studied this chapter of the bible this week, the Holy Spirit brought to my attention that there are seasons in the lives of Christians. The book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that there is a season for every purpose under heaven. The season could be for one day, one month, one year or a minute.

We should be able to Identify these seasons, know what God is saying about this season and act accordingly.

The Israelites had just crossed the river Jordan, not by their power or might but God’s divine intervention. God had given them instructions and they would see His move in a miraculous way.

There was a season for them to be obedient to God, there was also a season for them to just Trust God.

The word of God to us says that God uses the foolish things of this world to show Himself strong and mighty. I Corinthians 1:27

God may just want to give us simple instructions to move our lives forward but we are just not paying attention or God might just have given us the simple instructions but we are thinking, “What will the world say ?”

There is a time for certain things in our lives and I pray the Holy Spirit helps us to decipher these seasons in Jesus name.

Imagine if God was telling you, “Wait, my child, I will give answers to your prayers in a couple of months or I will give you your answers after you have worshipped me consecutively for seven days.

Imagine how easier our lives would be, we would not get distracted or weighed down by anxiety, worry, and the likes.

From this same chapter, I learned there is a season to wait, prepare, strategize, just be on the low to observe things. And there is also a season to charge into war

After the Israelites crossed the river Jordan, they camped in Gilgal for awhile. I want to believe they were actively seeking the face of the Lord as regards the next steps to take as regards claiming their promises.

O! That we may be sensitive in our spirits and know the mind of God and act accordingly in Jesus name.

Their weapon of war and victory as directed by God, was as simple as walking around the walls of Jericho for seven days silently and giving shouts of joy on the seventh day.

For our weapons of war are not carnal, but are mighty through the pulling down of strongholds. II Corinthians 10:4

Meaning that our weapons to fight the enemy is not of this world, it is supernatural. It is for us to use our weapons and it is for God to release His power on our weapons to fight effectively.

But do we know what weapons God is telling us to use right now?

Is it the weapon of praise, prayer, the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, prayer walk, praying ceaselessly?

May God help us know our seasons and act accordingly the name of Jesus.
