The month of December was an interesting one for me and I am only beginning to understand fully the things God did for me in that month. One day, I will share the details of the victory God gave me in the month of December 2022. But today, I will love to share something that the Holy Spirit pointed out to me.
Yet again, I love how the Holy Spirit uses things around me to teach me spiritual truths. I hope and pray that I will always be able to convey His messages to the world as clearly as He wants me to in Jesus’ name. LOL, my apologies. I digressed. So back to what the Holy Spirit pointed out to me last week.
I noticed that my energy level in the mornings dropped below what it usually should be. I love my sleep in the mornings and struggle out of bed on many days but I noticed that the struggle was on another level in the past couple of weeks. Even on days when I didn’t have to go to work, the struggle was still there. I found myself sleeping for so long with my energy level not exactly picking up. Fast forward to this fateful Wednesday when the heat in my room was fixed and the temperature in my room wasn’t as cold anymore – I felt my energy level pick up the next day. It wasn’t so much of a struggle to leave my bed the next day. I actually woke up at the time I usually did before my episode with my energy level.
Since I moved cities, I have actually made the mental note about my energy level in the summertime versus the wintertime. In the summertime, there is always this burst of energy for me in the mornings all through the day versus the winter when my energy level builds up progressively from the morning till the end of the day. I wonder If I am the only one who goes through this. I hope you have an understanding of what I mean. I mean, in the cold season, there is the tendency to just want to be all cozy on the bed, under the duvet, doing nothing versus during the summertime when everyone wants to be out and about bubbling with so much energy.
Now, what did the Holy Spirit point out to me through the repair of my heater? My heater could pass for my prayer altar, my spiritual life, and my walk with God. So when it was broken, I was weak in my body, my energy level was low, and I did not want to do anything. But as soon as my heater was fixed, my energy level shot up, with the zeal and strength to do all that I have to do.
Dear friend, welcome to this new year, this new season where and when your prayer altar should stay heated up!!! You and I can not afford to let it break or remain broken. The Lord has so much for us to do for His kingdom in this season And in order to do so, we need to stay connected to Him always. And to stay connected to Him means that our altar, the portal by which we communicate with the King of Kings needs to stay on fire, needs to stay open.
How Can this altar stay Heated Up, You may ask.
Fix Your relationship with the Lord if it is broken: A thriving relationship is one where the parties involved communicate with one another always. The living God that we serve wants to hear from you, He wants to speak to you. So my dear brother and sister, in case you have not spoken to the Lord in a long time, do it now. Isaiah 65 verse 1 tells us about a time when God waited earnestly for people to ask Him for help but no one did. God put Himself out there to be found but no one bothered to seek Him. If this time is now in your life, you can make changes today, a brand new year, and a clean slate to start all over again with your maker. And to my brother and sister who are thriving in their walk with God, I pray you to receive grace to keep thriving in your relationship in Jesus’ name.
Fix a time in the day when you Pray intensely from your heart: I read a short story about five years ago about a man who was a satanist before he gave His life to Christ. He elaborated in that story how the devil works so hard to water down the prayer altar of believers. He does it by creating distractions in the place of prayer and other means, I do not exactly remember right now. But one thing I can never forget is what He said about the power of our prayers. He said our prayers go up as incense into the heavens. The intensity of the prayers determines how far it goes. He said some of the prayers do not leave the earth realm, they hover above the head of the believer. He said some of them go so far up to break open the heavens over the head of the believer. This open heaven over the believer’s head causes the free flow of angelic ministrations and other supernatural goodness around the believer’s life in that season before the effect of that prayer wears out. Now imagine a believer who keeps bombarding heaven with prayers non-stop! The believer would always remain in sync with heaven’s agenda whether consciously or subconsciously.
So as I wrap up this blog post, I would like to wish you a happy new year. And remember that this is a season when the fire on your altar should never burn out. I pray that the Lord Himself strengthens you to keep the fire burning.
