You are born to fulfill purpose
You are a miracle child
You are different
My mother always told me
I wanted her to explain some more to me
What she meant
But her answers did not satisfy my curiousity
So just like you who is always digging for answers
I dugg for answers to the questions I had about my peculiarity.
I found interesting things that had been written about me.
One day, I stumbled on this – It read, You have been anointed by God;
To heal the sick
Heal the broken hearted
To proclaim peace to the world
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness prisoners
I finally found the answers to my questions in God’s words
I began to understand why I was created by God
What I was created to do
I was created to have a taste of life just like you
So that I can help you through life
I lived just like you
I had a family
I had friends
But because I spent quality time with God
And in His words
I stood out amongst my friends.
I grew in wisdom & poise because I was getting all my answers and wisdom from God
I made some great friends while many people didn’t really like me
That was ok
I knew just exactly what I had been created to do,
and I made up my mind to do just that.
Was it an exactly easy journey?
Absolutely not!
That was why I dedicated the early hours of every single day in my life to prayer.
In the place of prayer, I drew strength from God Almighty
In the place of prayer, He told me every single thing to do for the day.
In the place of prayer, He told me how to do all my tasks for the day
In the place of prayer, I was able to express my thoughts and weakness to Him.
In the place of prayer, I drew my confidence to walk amidst and talk to multitudes
In the place of prayer was where I got clarity of all that I am and called to do
That in my death and resurrection; lost souls would be found.
That in my death and resurrection; sick people could access to health
That in my death and resurrection; people in bondage have access to freedom
That in my death and resurrection; people will no longer be condemned forever but have access to live forever.
From the place of prayer, I walked confidently through my destiny on earth.
Even up until my last hours on earth,
when the reality to go to the cross
to bear all the sins of humanity,
to suffer intense pain,
to go through ridicule,
to die the death of a criminal,
when I had done nothing wrong,
I was overwhelmed with the reality of it as it drew near,
I almost turned back on fulfilling my destiny
But it was in the place of prayer, I poured it all out to my father in heaven.
I expressed to Him how I wanted to do all that I was made to do
but I was overwhelmed!
Still in the place of prayer, God sent me strength
He reminded me of the bigger picture
He reminded me of how much He loves you,
I love you so dearly, that I collaborated with God to ensure your salvation
I hope that today, you are reminded of the huge sacrifice I did for you.
I had a choice to go back but I chose to follow it through
Just for you
I have done it all, paid the price in full for you.
You do not have to drink of the cup of suffering that I already drank from.
All the work you need to do is only to believe in me.
Walk with me,
talk to me and I would help you all the way.
I love you
Regardless of the choice you make today,
whether to believe me or not
Trust me or not
I love you and will always do
I do hope that you choose me
