It is amazing how Bible verses and chapters I memorized while growing up, make more sense to me now.
It is amazing how the Holy Spirit moves and breathes life on the words and ministers to me.
Earlier in this year, It was on a toilet seat crying my heart out to God that the Holy Spirit brought to my recollection that for His name sake, He would allow me to catch my breath from all the troubles of the world and set me on the right path, His path of righteousness. Then I realized it was the popular psalms 23!
Oh! My days! All my life. I could recite this chapter since I was about 10 and it never made meaning to me like that.
I only just recited it and knew they were promises of God for and to me and His children.
The amazement wiped away my tears and made me laugh.
And then bask in His reaffirmed promise.
This week it was Psalm 91, I recite it every other day. But the Holy Spirit brought life through them to me this week.
Claiming God’s promises outside His presence is useless. Psalm 91
He that dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide there.
Meaning you shall live there and enjoy the perks of living in the house of the Lord.
He who lives outside of it gets the opposite. He has no right to make claims on the perks of living inside the house.
It is like a stranger claiming rights to access utilities in my house.
Except the owner of the house decides to be extremely generous and extends a hand of care and love.
He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
God’s presence is a secret abode, not just anyone knows the abode. You need to find it and stay there.
God’s children have the keys to this abode
He Who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Once you find the abode, you must decide to live there. It’s not a place to holiday and go back to the abode of the devil.
He who dwells there shall abide under the shadow of God. God will be your refuge and your fortress.
He will be your safe house, He will shield you from all evil attacks.
He will give you long-life while fulfilling destiny.
And the list is endless. But all these happen in His presence.
In summary, you know all the amazing promises God has promised us, right? You can only have and enjoy complete access when you deliberately stay in God’s presence. So my dear friend, if you are in and out of God’s house, you need to decide to stay there.
If/ when you decide to live with Him, then and there do you have full access to the perks of living with Him ẹ.g. Divine protection.
God bless you
