God talks and work

It was end of the month review of Key performance indices (kpis). The team had overachieved; I had achieved set goals, even beyond my expectations. My heart just could not stop praising God, I am still tremendously grateful to Him.

My boss called us individually, to review our performance, asked us the things we did, measures we had taken to overachieve set kpis. When he got to me, I went like, first things it was all God….

Then he goes like here we go again! His tone and reaction was hilarious so we both laughed about it. He goes on to say, “I know it is God, without God you can’t be” The conversation went all though, It was a happy one but I could tell he was not satisfied. Oh! Well, I hopped off from his office.

My confirmation came at the final meeting he had with all of us together. Apparently, he was satisfied with only a few of the answers he got from my colleagues. He needs us to be able to identify the things we did that worked for us, repeat them, improve on them and keep over achieving.

Emphatically he mentioned a team member who attributes her success all to God, all eyes were on me now and we all burst into laughter. My team can be a lot of fun though 😊

Mr A , a name I choose to call my boss today went on to preach, Yes! God has made promises to you, He keeps to them. But He worked on something you did; in the midst of my jesting it hit me. He just might be right.. was I acting all “christiany” (too spiritual)?

I wrote my goals, I did leave my bed early daily; asked for God’s help in the morning. Show up at work early daily, put in effort, all in the bid to achieve them goals. I allowed my mind achieve, before it was reality, I am beginning to use this law of attraction thing.

I could not have achieved so much if I stayed home all month long and just prayed to God to make ways for me. I prayed, I worked, I trusted.

God will definitely not work with a lazy individual. Nehh… the devil lives there. God will not bless an idle or a lazy hand.

It is not enough to say you are trusting God for success and you seat at home all day just praying. Do something; make moves.

In conclusion, I love the way “The message bible” put it. James 2 verses 17 ~Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?

LOL! Biko I am not going about doing nonsense, I believe I worked and put my faith in God to work.

Baby girls and boys, don’t just stop at praying about your goals, take baby steps, then giant steps towards achieving them. Don’t just work on your goals without involving God, pray about your goals, the steps you take and trust God to perfect everything.

I pray you keep thriving at your endeavors.
